Developed a versatile pack of performance-optimized 3D game assets using PBR workflows, ensuring easy integration and visual consistency in both Unity and Unreal Engine projects.
Challenges
- Ensuring PBR textures provided consistent visual results across different Unity/Unreal render pipelines.
- Optimizing asset geometry and textures (LODs, resolution) for diverse performance targets across engines.
- Maintaining correct real-world scale and orientation consistency between Unity (meters) and Unreal (cm).
Solutions
- Adhered strictly to standardized PBR texture maps (Albedo, Normal, MRAO) and value ranges.
- Implemented multiple levels of detail (LODs) and offered various texture size options per asset.
- Modeled assets accurately to scale and used standardized FBX export settings for units and axes.
